ERASMUS+ Youth Exchange

BERLIN TIME TRAVEL 2026

Ungdomsskolen i Helsingør (The Youth School of Elsinore) had a group of young people on MISSION TIME TRAVEL in BERLIN during the Easter holidays 2026.

The trip was an Erasmus+ trip, where the themes were World War II, Communities and Well-being.

It was the Danish and German young people who made the program for the camp.

In addition to visits to historical sites and the exploration of Berlin, there was a game throughout the camp, where groups had to solve daily missions among various activities such as food, quizzes, team building and much more.

STUDY TRIP TO NORTH MACEDONIA 2026

In April 2026, the 10th-grade students fra Youth School of Elsinore (Ungdomsskolen i Helsingør) took part in an Erasmus+ exchange visit to Ohrid, North Macedonia, where they were hosted by students and staff from St. Kliment High School.

Throughout the week, students explored themes such as community, wellbeing, and active citizenship through workshops, cultural activities, outdoor experiences, and collaborative projects. Living, learning, and spending time together gave the students a unique opportunity to build new friendships, gain intercultural understanding, and experience everyday life in another European country.

The exchange was a vreminder that, despite different backgrounds and cultures, young people share many of the same hopes, interests, and dreams for the future.

The exchange was supported by Erasmus+.

STUDYTRIP TO NAPFLIO GREECE

On 19 March 2026, the Danish students travelled to Greece to meet their Greek partners in the historic city of Nafplio on the Peloponnese peninsula.

From the very first encounter, a strong sense of community emerged as students collaborated across cultures and languages.

They stayed in the small seaside town of Tolo, which quickly became a comfortable base after each day’s activities.

Throughout the week, the programme combined cultural experiences, historical visits and group tasks designed to strengthen democratic awareness, citizenship, and a shared European identity. Together, the students explored places such as Palamidi Fortress, a local organic olive estate, Mycenae and Epidavros, reflecting on history, identity and common values.

Wellbeing was also a central focus. On the beach,  hiking, shared meals and time to relax helped students build friendships and support each other. Creative workshops, team‑building activities and student‑led presentations encouraged confidence, cooperation and intercultural understanding.

A major highlight was taking part in Greece’s Independence Day celebrations, giving the students a reallife experience of democracy and national culture. The farewell party with the Greek students showed just how strong the bonds had become during the week.

On 25 March, the Danish group returned home. Enriched with new friendships, meaningful experiences and a deeper sense of what it means to be part of a European community. And that we have more in common than we thought.

ÖRESUND ADVENTURE CAMP 2025

5 great days together with 40 young people from Germany and Denmark.

Øresund Adventure Camp was held 12th to 16th April 2025 during the Easter holidays.

Together with our German friends we put the spotlight on the water that connects the two countries. We went sailing and tried out surfing and diving in Øresund. We met experts and learned about the climate challenges in the sea and we turned ocean waste into art and jewellery. We all stayed at the Youth School, which was transformed into the funniest hotel in town.
